I'm preparing to migrate from FortiEMS 7.2.10 to 7.4.4 in a test HyperV environment
I've downloaded and configured version 7.4.4. I don't have any Linux knowledge.
Now I want to perform the migration steps.
But I'm getting the following error during the first command:
Error: unknown command "sudo" for "emscli"
How can I enable sudo?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It seems with this new version (OVF with pre-installed Linux) you don't need sudo. I see you are already in emscli and not in Linux shell (sh, back, csh, ...).
So you should follow this guide:
You see in the guide that in Linux manually installed version you use sudo, while in your "VM" version you don't use it, but you use a FortiOS-like shell (e.g.: execute, system, config, and so).
Here is the emscli guide:

Thank you.
I think this article was released last week.
I had previously read and used version 7.4.3, thinking the procedure would be the same.
I can now continue with the test.
Thanks again
