Downloading Logs into Text Format?

is there an easy way of downloading the logs on the firewall as a text file, rather than browsing them through the GUI? Sorting through 420,894 thousand odd log entries is nearly impossible without some text processing tools like grep or sed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you access to a Linux box? I wrote a (rudimentary) offline log viewer in PERL that makes quick work out of those log files.

hahaha thanks abelio, this is really useful, one more thing I would like to have logging based on the VDOMs I have for the fortinet. Will I be able to generate a separate report for each VDOM? I should right? Now that I think would really be more appropriate with what my Boss is asking me to do. HELP!!!

yes, you can do that; in the report definition you' ve " Report Format" with " Report Results" inside; you can choose reports ' per VDOM' there.
