I cannot find any info on this. I am coming from an Aruba background, and am now managing new Fortinet network, 35 APs, all 321C, on a Fortigate 800C, in an HA configuration.
The handoff feature is not well documented. Aruba had two different handoff methods, one for legacy clients, and one for clients which support 802.11k assist, and 802.11r fast handoff.
I can find nothing in Fortinet documentation which addresses whether these protocols are supported, or whether the hand-off feature is using the legacy disassociate methods.
