Disable two factor Authentication

Hello,

The two factor authentication using token has been accidentally enabled for fortigate 100D device that we have. GUI asks for a token code which I dont have. I know only the password. I tried connecting using USB MGMT port through fortiexplorer but it asks for token code even if the laptop is connected to the device directly.

Is there modes through which we can disable two factor authentication? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

VA

Hi vikramsanker,

I just guess that you are talking about admin access to the unit.

Then I think you have just those two options:

1. use another admin to disable token auth

2. reboot and use admin password reset method through 'mainteniner' account

You have one more option, a scp copy restore or worst a factory reset.
