Deployed FortiGate does not register in Fortimanager cloud

Hi all!

 

We are deploying our FortiGate on KVM using cloud_init.

 

Lately we are having problems with the registering of the FortiGate within the Fortimanger in FortiCloud. Before, this worked without any issues, however now it seems to be necessary to do it manually. 

 

Within our user_data file we have the following config for this, only this config is not present after the deployment:

 

config system central-management
    set type fortimanager
    set fmg fortimanager.forticloud.com
end

 

Could this be a race condition (It might try to register but does not have connectivity yet fe?)? Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi,

 

If you are referring to enabling FortiManager cloud on Fortigate you might first need to enable the FMG Cloud connector on the Fortigate. You may refer to this link:
