Hi,
I saw a lot of similiary posts on this forum. We have the problem at one client that always when disconnecting the FortiVPN Client the DNS remains in the network configuration.
After disconnecting correctly the VPN Client the old DNS settings remain.
The following has already been done:
-Windows Updates installed
-BIOS updated
-Updated network drivers to the latest version
FortiClient: 7.2.3.0929
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Does anyone else have any ideas on this? Unfortunately, the support is not helpful.
Thank you very much.

Check the dns settings in the ssl vpn settings.
Theese are correct for all other user it works perfect we have only with 1 user a problem that is the strange thing.
Hi @matthew_wlf,
As it only happens to 1 user, it must be a client side issue. Do other users use the same FortiClient version? DNS settings remain on the SSLVPN adapter only?
Regards,
I think that too, but I updated all kind of things.
No not at the SSLVPN Adapter on the wirelass adapter this settings were saved don't know why..
Hello,
we have the same issue.
some of our clients have sometimes the problem that the clients use a DNS-server which comes from the network at home.
When the user go to our office and connect then to our network (LAN or WIFI) the DNS-server from his home wants to be connected.
This DNS-server can`t be reached and so the internet is not functioning.
Do you have any idea?
