Team,
We have a DHCP hosted on the server.
When we tried to assign static IP on the server, system is unable to connect to internet.
When system gets IP from DHCP, it successfully gets connected to internet.
On fortigate, we have fortiguard DNS.
I tried to enter local DNS on the system but still it is unable to connect to internet.
Can anyone explain such behaviour as why system is unable to connect to internet when we assign static IP to the system??

Hello Omkar,
Could you kindly clarify what is the Server and System represents here?
Did you try reserving the IP address for the System and check, as there are chances for the IPs to be conflicted when assigning statically while DHCP is in use.

Klint George
Hello George,
DHCP is hosted on the server and not on fortigate.
When we tried to assign static IP on the system, it is unable to connect to internet.
When system gets IP from DHCP, it successfully gets connected to internet.
The following static IP is not conflicted as we have tested it
