DHCP in AD or Fortigate?

Hi All,

We have a multi VLAN  environment and I've always done DHCP on a windows server and pointed the firewall to just provide relay info.

We have two Fortigates running in HA

Thoughts?

Hello ITServices90,

I found these documents:

https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-configure-FortiGate-as-DHCP-server/...

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.2.12/cookbook/783526/dhcp-server

Could you please tell me if it helped?

If not, we will find another solution to reply to your answer.

afaik if you use ad services it is mandatory to do dhcp and dns with the domain controllers. You could then stil  use the FGT as forwarder....
