A FGT60D or FWF60D would be on par with the cyberoam 50ing , but you should really look at what do you need from thruput, UTM features & IPS. Than do you need things that cyberoam don't have ( PoE and WIFI , wireless controller )
And the do you heed disk logging. IIRC cyberoam has this , but the FGT60D does not. This is a sore spot for some SMB fortinet users& the smaller products.

On paper, the 80D looks to be more-or-less on par (if comparing numbers) with the 50iNG. But I agree with emnoc the 60D may be all you need, depending on feature set and purpose intended.
Do take a look at the Maximum Values Table before deciding on a particular Fortigate model (edit: though there is not really that much differences between each model in the same low/mid/high ranges the table will give you an idea of the hard-coded max limits).
A local rep can assist you with spec'ing/sizing the Fortigate that your company would need and may even provide you with a loaner/demo model to try out.

No way you can accomodate 250 hosts behind a single 60D.
Look at the 90D or 100D instead which are higher in price but much more suitable. Both include an internal SSD for extensive logging and reporting.
Beside the number of hosts/users the bandwidth of the main internet connection is important. Unfortunately, you didn't mention this.

Thank you for the reply, we do propose already FG-100D. But its still up to the client if they will choose cyberoam or fortinet. Hope they choose fortinet.
