Connection problems with explicit web proxy

Hello,

I have a problem with the explicit web proxy function.

We run a Fortigate 200F with 7.4.7. Before that we had a 240D.

I have a program that runs on a Server using proxy. Never had any Problems with the 240D.

Now we switched and I am getting this Error:

The connection to the Site 'https://ratsinfo....' could not be established.
Errorcode '80072F78':
The Proxy- or Webserver has send a 'TimeOut'.
HTTP-Header:

Mögliche Ursachen:
Die Adresse 'https://ratsinfo.....' konnte nicht erreicht werden.
Eine Internetverbindung konnte nicht aufgebaut werden (prüfen Sie die Einstellungen zum Proxy-Server, Firewall, Nutzerrechte etc.).
Die Übertragung der Scriptdateien für NETDATA zum Webserver war nicht erfolgreich.

Now the tricky part. It works sometimes...

As this procedure takes some time to get to the error i wanted to see what happens if i go in the internet with other means.

Here sometimes the page is there instantly.

Sometimes i get a "page not avaivable". After retrying it works.

As I am not that firm with the Firewall, I wanted to ask if someone can help me troubleshoot?

Maybe this is an known issue?

Sadly everything i find about this is either not realy answered or (use another browser it works) kind of thing.

Hello,

I would recommend to sniff the traffic between the client and the proxy and proxy and the server while the issue is triggered in order to find the reason of failure.

Moreover, I would recommend to check whether there are wad process crashes (system events logs) around the time when the issue is triggered.

Yup as also ssl handshake could be failing and using packet capture this could be seen and the correct ciphers/versions selected:
