Connect without user intervention

Hi all.

In the Company i am working, we are wanting a way to connect Forticlient Vpn without user intervention.

We understand the risks, but it is necessary.

We tried with a .bat executable file, but it is not working. It execute the forticlient, but it doesn't connect.

We asked for help creating a ticket to Forti, but the Technical Support sent us a link with information we had seen previously.

If somebody had a similar problem, can tell me how to resolved it?

Thanks, i am reading you.

What OS are you using ?

If Windows, have you tried Forticlient command-line version ? (Not saying it will work, just trying to get the whole picture).

We use Windows, most Computers have Windows 10.

We tried the normal Forticlient version 6 and 7, but it has not command line, just graphical interface.

Is there a Forticlient command-line version? I'm going to inquire about it.

If something occurs to you, I'm attentive.

Thanks for answer.

Hi @aservian,

Have you tried auto-connect feature? Please refer to this article: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiClient/Technical-Tip-FortiClient-EMS-Auto-connect-a-VPN-Tunne...

Ignore EMS part if you don't have it.

Hello @hbac .

Yes, i saw the article. We analizated it, but it won't work. We are certified in PCI Standars, then, our passwords expires in 40-45 days, the Users should refresh it every time. Other problem with this solution is in the company there are 600+ employes, if everyone connect all time, the devices will crash.

I am looking for a .bat, for this reason, to execute it trough domain policies, spliting the 600+ in groups with specifics days to connect and download and refresh domain policies in this way.

My boss tells to me, when we worked in person, in office, we did it, but now with Home office we can't find the way.

If any ideas appears i am happy to try it.

Thanks for answer.
