By default inside LAN port is listening on [link]Https://192.168.1.99[/link] Set a pc Lan interface on same subnet and connect directly

and by default forti inside lan or management port is DHCP enabled

Unless the times has changed, each fortigate has a "quick setup guide" for each model that explains the basic ip ( 192.168.xxx.99 } and what is enabled   read the manual is as easy as 1 2 3    Ken Felix
