Citrix Receiver error after installing Forticlient

After installing Forticlient and trying to start a Citrix session the Citrix Receiver returns the following error:

 

"The Citrix Receiver received a corrupt ICA file. The Key (3.0) has no value associated value"

 

After deinstall of the FortiClient the Citrix Receiver works just fine. But after install the Citrix receiver failes again.

It does occur when the client register with the fortigate unit and get the profiles and configuration from the fortigate. After install without registration there is no problem.

 

Does anyone has a idea what I can do about this error message?

I have run into this similar issue with various versions of forticlient.  My solution has been to exclude the Citrix receiver directories from the AV real time scanner:

C:\Program files (x86)\Citrix

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Citrix

C:\ProgramData\Citrix

I have run into this similar issue with various versions of forticlient.  My solution has been to exclude the Citrix receiver directories from the AV real time scanner:

C:\Program files (x86)\Citrix

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Citrix

C:\ProgramData\Citrix

Where did you define the exlusion? I did a exclusion on .ica that also resolved the problem. But now I work with custom XML and not with a default profile on a Fortigate. This makes changes to the config file a lot more complex.

 

I hope that the new management tool for Forticlient simplifies this kind of issues.

I have not seen the new management tool.  In Forticlient, Go to Antivirus and click the settings icon (looks like a gear) next to status.  click on the Exclusion list and add the folders specified.

 

Unfortunately, if the forticlient is registered with a fortigate, you don't have this option.  Would love to know how to do this when registered with a fortigate.

The new tool is in Beta stadium. When you registered the forticlient with a Fortigate you can enable advanced properties under the profile options. Then you can create a custom XML with the exceptions. The disadvantage is that you have to create a complete new profile. With all the settings in the XML and not a GUI based configuration tool. This means for changing enviroments you need to change a lot and if you make the slightest mistake your XML gets corrupt.
