Changing LDAP to show user display name instead of cn

Hi all,

I am trying to work out how to change the fortigate reports to show Display Name instead of CN.

in our environment the users cn is a student number and their display name is their actual name.

I am trying to change this as we use fastvue for fortigate and it cannot generate reports correctly now.

No matter what i set the CNID to it still only shows the cn regardless of FSSO restarts ect.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Thomasd1,

Ideally the edits under "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Fortinet\FASE\Collectoragent" helps.
Please find the article where the FortiGate process logins using UPN format  https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Process-FSSO-logins-on-FortiGate-in-UPN-fo...

If you want the Name and Surname to be displayed instead of login name https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-display-Name-and-Surname-of-the-use...

Formats:

CN: CN=J. Smith
displayName: John Smith

sAMAccountName : domain\username

UPN: Username@Domain.com
