Changing Common Name Identifier

Hi,

I would like to change the common name identifier, what are accepted variations?

cn etc. My logins are generic so the defaults dont work.

Can i use displayName / email / FirstName etc?

Thanks

If your LDAP is AD then how about sAMAccountName ?

If you have anything else then quite common name identifier (unique) is CN.

I'd use this and do not see anything wrong with this use. Will work with most of LDAP servers.

Thanks, but both show same thing from AD. Ie my login is domain\generalmanager, this shows up in FW, i need it to display John Smith. How do i achieve that.

Thanks, but i use generic logins, ie domain\ceo , so on the FW, it shows CEO, but i want it to show John Smith who is the CEO.

Ive tried using cn and sAMAccountName both resolve to "login" ceo and not John Smith..

what other options are their?
