Change mode from Switch to Interface
Hi Very new to Fortigate. New installation. first post here!
The units are 200D
I am trying to change the global mode from switch to interface I use the command 'set internal-switch-mode interface' but fails with the following message: "Command parse error before 'internal-switch-mode'. Command failed, return error -61 I tried via the management port CLI and also via USB with FortiExplorer CLI I did a factory reset, removed the dhcp server and remove the policies as per post found in this forum. Not sure what else I need to do. When I type 'set help' and look at all the commands, I cannot see any that start with internal. I wonder if there is a new command now, or a different way to do it
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

I have only limited experiences with 200Ds. But it would be dependent of the version of software. What is yours?

Or, does 200D even have switch interfaces? Somebody else must know about the architecture.

Sorry for throwing random posts. But likely it supports only interface mode, and some ports are integrated into "virtual-switch", which you might want to split. Check "show sys virtual-switch" unless somebody else replies with the exact answer.

Hi
Thanks for everyone that replied.
I found the solution via google. The command to use was:
config sys virtual-switch
delete lan
cheers
