Hello everyone,
Is there a way to modify the MAC Address associated with the Forticlient Ethernet virtual adaptor ?
We are using a ToIP application that transmit the mac address of the used network card to the voice server in SIP Messages. This mac address is used by the server to identify each client (at an applicative level only). In a normal situation each transmitted mac is unique as it is the one of the used physical network card. But for clients in vpn, the transmitted address is the one of the fortinet virtual adaptor, which is the same for all the clients: 00090FAA0001 (see screenshot)
Apparently, the behaviour of the softphone cannot be changed, so I was wondering if the value of the Forticlient adaptor address could be configured somewhere...
Thank you for your help
Best regards

Hi friend, I have the same problem.
We used the McAfee product and in our McAfee ePO constantly deletes PC objects from Notebooks within the console for duplicate MAC reasons. The MAC address involved and that we see that is repeated in all cases is "00090FAA0001" which as we could see corresponds to Forti.
Regards
I have the same issue. A piece of software we use logs all the MACs of a PC to identify it, and it is picking the FortiNet MAC to do it with, meaning it does not know which PC it is. I need to be able to change this MAC:
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Fortinet Virtual Ethernet Adapter (NDIS 6.30)
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-09-0F-FE-00-01
Has anyone found a way?
