Change Firewall but use same fortidyndns name.
Is this possible?
The end user is changing firewall of a different model.
He wants to retain the same fortidyndns name in the new firewall - also fortigate.
He does not want the user to change the vpn login because the fortidyndns changes.

You can raise a ticket with the support team, so that the FQDN mapped with the old serial number can be deleted first and then you can add it for the new device serial number.

As long as the name resolves to the IP of the firewall and the certificate is correct and trusted it works. This is standard stuff and will have no adverse effect on anything.
