Cannot get into GUI

Hi All, I just tried a firmware upgrade and it went nasty. I had backed everything up before I started, so was able to go back fine however..... I cannot get into the GUI through either HTTP or HTTPS. If I factory reset then it is fine, but as soon as I load my config it fails. It is not an interface config problem as I have enabled http and https. When I sniff on the internal interface I see the FG doing an imediate rst to my syn. I have also removed all trusted hosts and tried to reconfig teh admin port, whatever port I choose I get a RST back. If I choose a port that is not configured it does nothing. Any Idea what else could be causing it and why it would happen after a rebuild? Cheers

Sounds likke a buggered backup. Start off with a fresh config and paste sections of the backup inti the CLI one at a time. Maybe you' ll fiind the offending entries without too much hassle.

clear the admin-cert in the config. You are probably using a config with no cert in it. Regards, Eric

Bingo Eric, Without trying it, of course I forgot I put my own cert on it and after the format it would have been gone. Cheers

Not backing up certs is a known error in MR5 pre patch 3. Had me puzzled for an our after having to format a HA config and restoring the backup. Only console access works. Cheers, Eric
