Cannot access my fortigate40C

Hello. I have adquired a Fortigate40C in order to test it and learn..

I have used fortiexplorer to find it on my pc. It found it.. but when I try to log in as admin and typing a "blank password" it shows me bad credentials...

"invalid username or password, please try again"

So I have tried to factory-reset my firewall but the password is yet not correct...

I have also tried to use the maintainer account using as password bcpcSERIAL_NUMBER but this does not work...

I don't know what to do to access my fortigate...

Hi @lusquiano ,

Please provide me some attachment so i can get the idea how you access the Fortigate.

By default, Fortigate ip is 192.168.1.99 . Username with no password. You can connect your PC direct to the Fortigate LAN and access the GUI.

Hello lusquiano,

You can try performing a flash format of the device & test it once.
