Hi, this happened lately and it leave me scratching my head,
Suddenly our computers can't access gmail when they are on static IP address but they can access it when we set it to DHCP?
I didnt touch anything on the fortinet settings so I was wondering what could have happened there?
Model: Fortiwifi 30E Version 5.4.1
Thanks in advance

I forgot to mention, this only happened on the computers that have default access, full access PC works well.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide more information on design .It looks like you have DNS issue.Check both DNS are same.
regds,
Ashik
Computers are all on local static IP address, mostly on default access, the settings on our fortigate were rarely touch, most settings are on default.
If it's a DNS issue how can we check that?
Thanks,
Hi,
Try to ping www.google.com from pc behind FG.Also ping same from working PC's .
If u want to check DNS resolution goto cmd in windows pc and run nslookup will show ur dns server .

@Ashik
Thank you for the input, and sorry for late reply, been busy these past few days, I think it was a glitch on fortinet firmware, I've tried updating firmware and it fixed the issue,
Cheers!
