Can't use Teamviewer

Hi guys

I am unable to use Teamviewer as it's just giving us a message saying that I have no internet connection.

I am using the Fortigate 60c on 5.0.5.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Cheers

Miata

TV uses ports 80, 443 or 5938 on an outgoing connection to contact the TV server. If you can browse the web it should connect. I guess that either the TV server is not found (DNS problem?) or the remote partner has not started his TV instance yet. But that's wild guessing here.

Hi Miata,

Generally if it blocked by fortigate then chances are its application control could be causing it . You got check application control configuration applied. Make sure action for Application control category "Remote.Access" set to allow.

If its already allowed then you can check both application control and web-filter logs by applying filter as source IP address of computer from which you are testing it. I hope in the logs you may find relevant information.

Make sure extended logs is enabled on both application and web-filter profile

config application list

edit <name>

set extended-utm-log enable

end

config webfilter profile

edit <name>

set extended-utm-log enable

end

Note- Application control logs are shown under forward traffic in 5.0 .

The diag debug flow is really  your #1 bst friend to find out why it doesnt work

e.g

   diag debug reset

   diag debug en

diag debug flow filter addr < client machine>

   diag debug flow show console

diag debug flow trace start 1000

And then run your teamviewer and see what diagnostic output

When your finish, diag debug reset and diag debug disable.
