Can't set ip address after change to internal mode

hello,

after i change my fortigate 80c from switch mode to internal mode,i can't set ip address to my fortigate 80c and to my port1.

i try to do it like this way but i got some error (see file attached).

config system interface edit <interface_name> set ip <address_ipv4> <netmask_ipv4mask> [set ip6 <address_ipv6> <netmask_ipv6mask>] set allowaccess {http https ping snmp ssh telnet}

You need to set the "vdom" name. if your not running mult-vdom it would be vdom "root", if  you have vdoms than insert the name of the vdom.

 

BTW: All interfaces physical or virtual are part of a vdom.

Uhm did you actually read the error message?

It says "subnet overlaps with port internal6"

 

Remove the IP address of port 6 first
