Can get no super User acces to FortiAnalyzer 3000E

Hi every one.

We were installing a brand new FAZ3000E it came with 5.0.7, and as this was a fresh installation we were traying the upgrades. We upgrade directly to 5.4.0 and every thing looked running fine, but when we log in via CLI (console or remote) we get no superuser prompt (#) we only get the normal user prompt ($) and every command we tried we get the message that I have no permision to execute it. also I  have access to the GUI interface but the administration menu is gone, and i can not do any changes in the configuration or even add devices. even i am not allowed to change the admin password (still have the blank password).

Before the upgrade we activated (still in 5.0.7) the Adom feature, also we configurated ip address in port1, port2 and port6 (though only port1 is connected) and the default gateway (though looks like this configuration is gone to).

If I log to the GUI i get two options Adom for Root and Adom por FortiCarrier, but neither gives me acces to the administration options.

This model is a moddified server so, no reset button is available (as fas as I can see)

So, any one know how I get super user rigths (#) from the normal user ($) or which is the procedure to reload a fresh image and overwrite the current one.

Best Regards

Isaac Hernánez

Hello,

there's a documented upgrade guide to avoid strange things.

You can download it from http://docs.fortinet.com/d/fortianalyzer-5.4.0-upgrade-guide

Your scenario (fresh install) seems to be ideal for a new, fresh install including format disks and flash and load a fresh 5.4 image in your faz. IMHO, that would be the best path.
