Hi All,
We have a Fortigate 60D and have been asked by our service provider to turn off the Application Sensor as it causes high CPU usage on the device resulting in policies not working well or internet being slow. May you let me know if this is the case as we would like to have it on so as to stop users abusing our bandwidth.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Found the same in 800C on the ips version .
upgarded to 3.00079 fixed the issue . 800c is large enterprise box but still have 99.9 % of cpu when application monitoring is enabled and back to normal when disabled . Session rate 120-150 session per sec
ips upgrade fixed the issue
