While we are looking for an official article , we may restrict the SSH access only to trusted hosts (a best practice any day).
Hi there, regarding this CVE-2024-6387, how exactly can I upgrade the OpenSSH on my Fortimanager or Fortianalyzer? Do I have to use the shell?
Based on my understanding, OpenSSH version cannot be upgraded within FortiManager or FortiAnalyzer.
Once there is confirmation that either FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer is affected by the specific OpenSSH version, a new firmware version which includes the upgraded OpenSSH version should be released.
Hi Jasonhong, thanks for your answer. I just received confirmation from support that we have to wait for the next release where the issue will be fixed. We cannot upgrade the OpenSSH ourselves. See below.
You will need to upgrade your instance to the below one when available:
6.4.15 is scheduled for early Sept
7.0.13 is scheduled for early August
7.2.6 is scheduled for end of August
and 7.4.4 is scheduled for end of August
