Hello everyone,
I have successfully configured Fortigate 200D to block access to Facebook (http/https and facebook app).
All access to facebook is being blocked by the fortigate.
However in the fortigate daily report, "facebook" is shown as the second top website by bandwidth.
I want to believe this bandwidth is an accumulation of hit counts of denied requests to facebook pages, but the high amount of bandwidth shown is worrying (in the range of 80 GB daily). Facebook is also shown as the top blocked website.
Can anyone help me clarify this situation?
Thanks.
Jaures.

I'd check the logs to see what sites are getting through.
Sometimes just using Web-Filtering to block sites like facebook isn't enough and you may also need to use App-Control or other means to block it.
There's a number of domains associated with facebook besides just facebook.com, such as fbcdn.net, fb.com, etc.
So - could be a number of reasons, but I'd start by checking the logs for the traffic.
I think its a common issue. We feel the same issue in our reports.but no one getting FB.
