No as mentioned in my first replace, it is most likely that the FortiGate does not have a policy allowing inside traffic (FAZ FTP request) to VPN clients. Please check the FGT policy allowing this traffic.

Yes that policy allows traffic from the VPN to the LAN.

If your FTP server is on the same network as FAZ then you do not need a FW policy, correct.
