Backup VDOMs

Hi

 

We have 2 Vdoms in our FortiGate and I wanted to backup my device. So should I backup only the global or all 3 of them individually?

Hey Reza,

if the goal of the backup is to be able to restore the entire FortiGate config in case something goes wrong, then a global backup is the better idea.

If you're taking backups to share configuration specifics with customers or support, then just taking VDOM backups should usually be sufficient.

If you're taking backups to share configuration specifics with customers or support, then just taking VDOM backups should usually be sufficient.
