Azure fortigate subscription

Hi guys

I just deployed fortigate on Azure using the 30 days free trial, but when I checked the license it shows that it's valid till Jan 2038!!!

Do I still need to buy a license or I'm good to go and use the device for free till 2038 =)

Hello,

I would recommend to run in CLI "get system status" and "diag debug vm-print-license" to check license status.

A permanent evaluation VM license replaces the 15 day evaluation period for FortiGate-VM. The evaluation VM license applies to all private cloud (VMware ESXi, KVM, and so on) and all bring your own license (BYOL) public cloud instances.

As of 7.2 the trial license is perpetual albeit with a variety of limitations:

With that being said. Do I need to buy a license? If no, will the VPN still works!
