Assets & Identities in transparant mode Fortigate

Dear All

 

Can we still monitor assets & identities if fortigate in transparant firewall mode ?

FortiGate can still monitor and control traffic based on various criteria, including source and destination IP addresses, ports, protocols, and more. This includes monitoring assets and identities.
Here are some aspects to consider:

Monitoring Traffic, User Authentication, Logging and Reporting, Security Profiles:

While FortiGate can perform these monitoring and security functions in transparent mode, keep in mind that the effectiveness of user identification and some features might be impacted compared to when FortiGate is in NAT mode. In transparent mode, user identification may require additional configuration and may be less accurate compared to when FortiGate is in NAT/route mode.
