Just curious if I'm missing something, but we've had to change to custom DNS servers and use Fortinet update servers outside of the US today to keep some of our clients online. Anyone else experiencing these issues? TIA

hm I never noticed DNS problems with the FortiGuard DNS on all of our FGT here.
But I do notice that rather often the FortiGuard DDNS Service seem not to work.

I haven't seen anything for our clients, but I am not in the US either.
For such suspicions I always go to reddit, seems like there was/is something going on for the North America https://www.reddit.com/r/fortinet/comments/urlhr5/fortinet_dns_services_down/
I ran into this issue a week ago. The same happened with the fortinet NTP servers not responding. I switched to a public DNS temporarily and set NTP to the Gov ntp servers for now. Fortinet DNS does fail (at least as much as I notice) often.
