Hi
I have VM Forti Analyzer in private cloud.
I set automatic backup to public IP behind QNAP nas, specific port etc.
FTP works
SFTP doesn't work, have someone ever run this configuration?
Thank you
Marco

As long as QNAP supports the standard protocol it should not be any issue. Take a look at this article, maybe its related to password complexity or follow the troubleshooting steps shown here.
Hi
I follow up both article but it doesn't work.
Last week it seems that QNAP blocked access, today from Qnap logs it seems that authentication is ok but the problem is to Forti Analyzer.
I can't do trouble shoot it
In order to check, we need the output of the diagnose command or the execute of the backup command from FortiAnalyzer CLI.

Hi
these are the logs, write me if you need more. From QNAP -> Impossible Access but i can access with Filezilla Client with the same protocol. Is it possible that i need to upload qnap certified?
It appears that the authentication is failing and if you have verified the credentials most probably is caused by a special character in the username or in the password.
Can you mention only the special characters that are used in this case like . "
Do you get any log in the Event Log related to system backup?
To configure automatic backups from FortiAnalyzer to a QNAP NAS using SFTP, ensure that the SFTP server settings on the QNAP NAS are correctly configured, including the port and user credentials. Verify that the SFTP service is running on the QNAP NAS and that firewall rules allow the connection. Test the SFTP connection from the FortiAnalyzer to the QNAP NAS to ensure proper functionality

on QNAP: User tested via FileZilla client, service SFTP running.
I tried to test connection via diagnose test commands but it doesn't work
