Advise regarding purchase of Fortigate 60D purchase (recently became new partner...)

Hello,

Hope everyone is well...this is my first post, hurray!!  For you experts this is an easy question:

As I've recently signed up as a Fortinet partner, I was considering purchasing a new 60D from ebay

to help me become more familiar with their products...

Any thoughts?  I'm expecting at least 2-3 years prior to EOL...thanks in advance!!

just my personal advice:

get an NFR FGT from your distributor, a FG-60F. For various reasons:

- the D series is about to be retired

- as such, FortiOS 6.4 will not be available for the D series; you should look forward to current and future features, instead of looking back

- the 60D was, in comparison, a lame duck. Slow CPU core is no fun. Throughput might be sufficient though.

- all NFR models come with an 1 year UTM contract so you can run all UTM features

- and after 12 months, you are allowed to sell the unit.
