I inherit (3) fortiSWITCH 124D in my network and no one in the company knows the admin pswd. I need to do a pswd recovery, to login to these switches and document whatever is in there. Since there is no internal documentation or configuration backups, doing a factory reset is NOT an option.
I know that with fortiGATE u can use the maintainer account to recover the admin pswd. Does the same fortiGATE procedure applies to a fortiSWITCH?
Any ideas and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
cheers,
franco

How complicated is the environment in general? If it is a flat network you may as well just factory reset it as the native VLAN will allow it to just pass traffic up anyways.
If it is a Managed FortiSwitch then use the FortiGate to access the configuration.
