Access to cli widget through web ui

I have a Fortiwifi 60d, and I am a member of the super_admin group. I am not able to execute commands from the cli widget. Here is the error message I get when I try to run a command:

FWF60D4613003523 # get system logged-users
Command fail. Return code -61

command parse error before 'logged-users'

I am not able to run any command from the cli widget. Can anyone give me some ideas of what this error message means? I have reviewed the documentation (not completely, but  enough to wonder why exactly the cli widget does not work) and I cannot find any reason why the widget does not work. I am obviously missing something here, and I would appreciate some help.

Hi J.

Welcome to the forums.

As far as I am aware, the "get system logged-users" command is only available on the FortiWeb appliance.

Are VDOMs enabled on the fgt?  Can you press/enter ? on the CLI to see what commands are available?

Yes, I have two vdoms. I do get this output with ?:

config config object
get get dynamic and system information
show show configuration
exit exit CLI

I can display some output with these commands, but this seems a tiny subset of the commands in the cli reference for fortios 5.0. What does the above output indicate to you?

CLI functions differently wtih vdoms enabled -- you are limited to make changes either through "config global" or "config vdom" then edit <vdom name>.

sfg240-temp login: super-admin
Password: **********
Welcome !

sfg240-temp #?
config Configure object.
get Get dynamic and system information.
show Show configuration.
exit Exit the CLI.

sfg240-temp # config ?
global config global
vdom config vdom

sfg240-temp # config vdom

sfg240-temp (vdom) # edit ?
<vdom> Virtual Domain Name
root
vtest-1
vtest-2

sfg240-temp (vdom) #

Fortinet Document Library->Virtual Domains. Link is for 5.0.
