Just deployed a new FAZ-VM running v5.6.0 firmware.
Am frustrated by my inability to get the configuration sorted so it can handle a small amount of generic SYSLOG data.
Even more so, because I had this working on our old FAZ100C running v5.2 firmware.
I know ADOMs are involved somehow.
I know that generic SYSLOG data is stored away from Fortigate devices.
Just can't see precisely where/how to get this configured and so that I can see the syslog data via the GUI.
Can someone demystify this for me? e.g. with a series of CLI commands, or whatever is needed to make it behave?
You need to enable ADOMs from the dashboard.
Or from CLI: c sys global
set adom-status enable
Thanks!
I was missing that obvious step, as I hadn't noticed that Slider control in the Dashboard.
Have enabled ADOMs now, assigned a small amount of storage to the Syslog ADOM, triggered the device which is sending the syslog data to send something, saw the Msg notifying that an unregistered advice needed to be added, added the device to the Syslog ADOM ... and it is all working great!
Cheers,
Frosty
