94D POE Fan very high RPM and very noisy

Hi all,

I have couple FGT 94D POE and one of them fan is very noisy and on very high RPM, everything else is working fine. The other unit once powered on has the same fan speed for a second or two and when goes back to normal, so looks like first unit has temperature sensor fault or something similar and keeps spinning really fast.

Has anybody knows if it's possible to fix this issue or have some ideas what may cause it?

Cannot raise RMA as don't have valid contract. I guess if I'll keep using it like this Fan will fail?

Thanks, Augustas

Hello,

FGT 94D doesn´t have temperature sensor, in this case I think is a issue with the fan.

You can try this command:

diag system board temperature

Small business to mid-end FortiGate models such as FG-40C through to FG-300C do not have temperature sensors:
