In 2023 Fortinet introduced a new certification model.
In 2024 Fortinet exams are still named "NSE_".
On my Fortinet Training Profile there are still just NSE certificates shown:
I renewed all exams by the new certification model but more and more of my old NSE certifications are marked as expired on my Training Profile as shown above. The achievements page shows the new certificates as expected:
Why does Fortinet still show the old NSE certificates on Pearson VUE and on my Training Profile?
Do I have to have to keep the old NSE certs valid as well and renew them somehow?

The old certifications are no longer being granted or recertified.
They appear over there as expired, and this will not change. The old certificates were showing on the portal as "legacy certificates" but have no importance in the new program. Once expired, they will be gone in some time from that page.
All the new certifications which count are available under the "Achievements" section.
