Save the config file of fortigate

is there configuration saved in fortigate? I mean if i shutdown the FortiGate and i start again the IP config or the configuration file in general stay as you left?

Yes, the configuration is being saved to a flash storage of the firewall, reboot/loss of power will NOT erase the config. 

If you are doing some configuration changes and unexpectedly Fortigate loses power, then only unsaved changed (those where you didn't click on Save/Apply button) will be lost.
