How to block MySpace IM, Facebook IM and Bebo IM

Anyone how i can block login and/or usage of these emerging instant messaging network/programs? Someone have a list of ports or servers (ip or domains) used by these IM so i can block it? Thanks!

This should be caught by thefortiguard web filtering if you select " potetially non-productive - web chat"

Sorry Doshbass, your option only prevents users from getting to the web site affiliated with the programs. They can still use the programs because they don' t go to those sites any more. They hunt for other clients and/or servers and connect directly.

So if the progams are port versatile and proxy aware, like Skype. We just need to wait for fortinet to recognize the patterns. I wonder if this could be part of a virus signature, with an option

Or perhaps a custom signature in the IPS section. It' s getting a bit beyond me now

Block all ports and only allow required.
