Fortigate VM performances and AWS deployment

Hi guys,

I have a couple of questions regarding FortiGate VM00 performances and it's deployment at AWS. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the answers from the documentation.

1. Does Fortigate VM00 license work at AWS as BYOD? In some Fortigate documents, it seems to be true, another start from VM-01.

2. What are the performances of VM00 on AWS?

I found this document: https://www.fortinet.com/content/dam/fortinet/assets/data-sheets/FortiGate_VM_AWS.pdf

But a part of performances (new sessions, throughput, etc...) is not mentioned for VM-00 and VM-01, are they the same as VM-02?

3. AWS HA deployment guide says the following: "Create two FortiGate instances. You can use any instance type with at least four vCPUs, since four NICs are required" should I actually have 1 CPU per interface? So the minimum requirement is VM-04?

Reference: https://docs2.fortinet.com/vm/aws/fortigate/6.2/aws-cookbook/6.2.0/794353/deploying-fortigate-vm-act...

4. Can I use VM-00 for AWS HA deployment / Standalone deployment with multiple interfaces, while the VM is limited to one CPU only?

Thank you

Regards,

Max
