Hello Fortigate team, I have a query, is it possible to perform a direct update of the Fortigate ios version in case the team is new without configuration. FortiGate

Hi @Francho02 

We would not recommend any upgrade without following the upgrade path. This is because there may be coding change during an upgrade, hence, following the upgrade path would ensure that the code change is taken in place accordingly. Since your FortiGate is new and has no configuration, it would be more appropriate to perform a flash format and perform a fresh install of FortiOS via TFTP. By performing the fresh install, it is cleaner and easier for you to manage in a long run. Please refer to the following document for the flash format and performing a fresh installation of FortiOS:
