FortiAP-U Licensing

Could someone clarify what the licensing options are for a FortiAP-U Series that is managed by a FortiGate?
Can I use it without any supplemental license like any other FortiAP (except a Forticare license for hardware support if I need it) or I MUST buy a supplemental license also if don't need the supplemental Universal Threat Protection it could offer?

Thank you very much for your help.

Sure you can do with FCare only. I usually do.

UTM license for FAP-U? First time I hear of that. There used to be FAP-S APs which offered UTM offloading on the AP CPU, but not on a FAP-U or a regular FAP.

Uhm, maybe I misunderstood what I read about FortiAP-U Series?

Then the FortiAP-U series only differs from FortiAP just because they can be managed by FortiWLC, FGT and FortiCloud?

Correct. "U" = "universal", includes the option to be managed by (ex-Meru) WLC.

AFAIK there are no autonomous UTM capabilities in non-S FAP series.
