Can not ssh out from within firewall
I' m using a fortigate 60 . I can make ssh connections to hosts within the firewall.
I can ping hosts outside the firewall. I can make a telnet connection to the ssh port (22) on hosts outside the firewall.
But when I try to make an ssh connection, the connection attempt hangs and then times out. It hangs at this point:
$ ssh -vvv staffknex.com

Oooo, that' s new. Are you sure the remote host is accepting connections for SSH?
Never mind... I just checked using Putty from my Windows box, and it worked. It asked me if I wanted to accept the cert. Are you sure that there isn' t a cert error that' s preventing this from working? I' m not familiar with the Linux product you' re using.
