Blocking Bittorent

I have a Fortigate 80C v4.0,build0496,111108 (MR3 Patch 3). I would like to block Bittorent and other similar applications. I apply the profile (Application Sensor-> and add p2p category ) to the rule of internet input and output. I checked with uTorrent on PC and this lock does not work. How can i block this connections?

You need to apply that in a firewall policy.

I face the same issue, I think some way or the other bit torrent traffic is having seed success. will raise a TT and ask for the patch.

I have the same issue. I think encrypted connections are not blocked by application control.

I' ve Fortigate 310B with FortiOS 4 MR3 Patch 5 and similar settings working fine for me! Regards Faheem

Ok I just realized. New torrents are blocked but torrents with peers stored by peer exchange aren' t being blocked.
