This article describes how to solve the error 'Server Pool Size Exceeds the limit' while adding a new server pool.
FortiWeb-VM.
VM Memory size less than 64 GB supports up to 256 Server pool entries.
VM Memory size greater than 64 GB supports up to 1024 server pool entries.
Information about FortiWeb VM memory and the maximum number of server pools that can be configured it can be checked and confirmed in the Release Notes of the FortiWeb firmware version available in Fortinet Document Library. After opening the respective Release Note, search 'Maximum configuration values' and then find the matrix in 'Per appliance configuration maximums - ADOMs, server policies, Virtual IPs, server objects, and domains in ML policies':
Increase the Memory from 32 GB to 64 GB to support server pool entries of up to 1024 if an Error displays after adding 256 server pool entries.
Run the following commands to review the memory states used and to review total memory used and free memory available on the FortiWeb VM appliance:
get system performance
diagnose hardware mem list
