Description
This article describes how to set up correct configuration of a VmWare ESXi vSwitch. In order to support the FortiWeb-VM Active-Active High Volume HA cluster, the VmWare ESX vSwitch should be configured correctly, as it will otherwise encounter problems forming clusters or processing traffic after failover.
Scope
FortiWeb.
Solution
When a FortiWeb cluster is configured on VMWare ESXi, check that the following configuration of vSwitch is set up:
Promiscuous mode, MAC Address Changes and Forged Transmits in vSwitch properties should all be set to Accept.
If some of these settings are set to Reject, change them by selecting the Edit button and choosing the correct settings in the Security tab.
