Technical Tip: License updating of HA pair

Description	This document describes how license can be updated if it is a HA pair.
Scope	FortiWeb VM.
Solution	To update the License on FortiWeb, it is necessary to move mouse over the license tab on the GUI and it will display the option of update VM license as show in below screenshot However, this is not the case when a HA pair is used. For the current HA design, FortiWeb use Serial Number to identify each member in an HA cluster. Uploading a new license will lead to an Serial Number change, which will add a new member to the existing cluster. Therefore, the upload license action has been limited in standalone mode. Workaround: disconnect the target member from HA group -> Upload a license  -> Rejoin the HA Cluster.
