Description | This article describes how to troubleshoot a user extension not able to login user portal if the extension is imported from LDAP. |
Scope | FortiVoice. |
Solution |
FortiVoice already configured LDAP and LDAP Connector. In this case, there is no issue with LDAP, FortiVoice able to query the user account using LDAP. The extension has been successfully imported using the LDAP connector.
When the user tries to log in to the user portal using the extension number, the login fails. There is no issue when login to the user portal using the local account.
In this case, check the IP extension details. If the 'User ID' and Web Access 'Authentication ID' are not using the extension number, check the LDAP connector settings.
Check the LDAP connector Mapping. Set the 'User ID(*)' mapping to use the correct mapping key. For example here use 'ipPhone'.
When the Extension shows 'User ID' and Web Access 'Authentication ID' using the extension number, there should be no issue when logging in to the user portal using the extension number.
